FAQ for Member Societies

Answers to questions about how to update a member society’s information on the ICIAM website:

  1. Each member society has its own space which is managed by the ICIAM web administrator on behalf of the member society.
  2. ICIAM will call for updates to member society information at least once per year, but member societies are welcome to email the secretary with changes when they arise.
  3. Each member society needs to provide the following information:
    1. President: the name and email address of the president of the society. It is recommended to use a permanent email address, e.g. president [at] MathSoc.org (president[at]MathSoc[dot]org).
    2. Representative: the name(s) and email address(es) of the representatives of the society on the ICIAM Board. The number of representatives depends on the type of membership of the society; the president may be a representative of his/her society.
    3. Treasurer: the email address(es) to which the annual invoice for the ICIAM dues is to be sent.
    4. Physical address of the member society: note that the ICIAM website uses Google maps to map the physical address to a position on the map; please use https://www.google.com/maps to find a version of your address that gives the location of your society and provide that physical address.
    5. The url of your member society: this is expected to be the home page of your society's website.

4. Given the above information for a member society, ICIAM will update the website.
